Holidays & Observances: Father’s Day

Prologue: I have been meaning to write a series about Holidays and Observances that we (my family and friends) follow in both India (my birth country) and USA (my adopted country). This series is dedicated to those. On a side note, perhaps I might witness some of the celebrations from other countries as well that may get their way into this series. 🙂

Father’s Day is universally celebrated on the third Sunday on the month of June (18th of June in 2023) celebrating and honoring the men who have embraced he essential role of fatherhood. Not only fathers but father figures (uncles, grandfathers, godfathers, etc) are also appreciated and thanked for embracing the responsibility of nurturing and raising children, and for their devotion to their families.

Here is to my father who has been there thru everything in my life. Happy Father’s Day, Dad!!
