Prologue: I have been meaning to write a series about Holidays and Observances that we (my family and friends) follow in both India (my birth country) and USA (my adopted country). This series is dedicated to those. On a side note, perhaps I might witness some of the celebrations from other countries as well that may get their way into this series. š
This year August 9th celebrated National Book Lovers Day in United States. The day encourages you to find your favorite reading place, a good book (whether it be fiction or non-fiction) and read the day away. Or spend the day doing some shopping of your favorite authors’ books.
Although digital prints are getting more and more popular, I still love to read the books that I can touch and feel. I tried digital versions and also audio books. However, nothing comes closer to your inner soul when reading using a physical hard copy or a paperback.
