Prologue: This is a 31 day event that helps poets and authors all over to pen down 31 new poems in the month of December (2023). Every day we can open the calendar for that day to read about the prompt for that day. Then let your imagination fly to infinity with your thoughts and voice.
For Day 14 the Prompt given to us was to write a poem about loss of loved one, a personal joy or an environment; all posing in the form of questions. Here is my version, albeit there is no loss in mine this time.
Prompt 14: Pondering Questions on the Sum and Substance Surrounding.
What makes the dew drops on the blades of grass?
Who brings honey to the flowers for bees to harvest?
Are you the one painting white roses as red or yellow?
What makes the rabbit bounce and twitch its whiskers?
Who creates the perfume permeated by sweet jasmine flowers?
Oh wait! Are you responsible for the fresh scent of leather?
What pushes lightning ahead of thunder? Fear? Or a Race?
How many chariots does Sun God ride everyday from dawn to dusk?
Are those moving across the sky heated rocks or sparkly precious stones?
So many questions at every turn of my head while I ponder
On the Sum and Substance surrounding me every second.
