Two Sylvias Press Advent Calendar challenge: Day 15

For all the poems in this Two Sylvias Press Advent Calendar challenge for 2023, visit my musings here.

Prologue: This is a 31 day event that helps poets and authors all over to pen down 31 new poems in the month of December (2023). Every day we can open the calendar for that day to read about the prompt for that day. Then let your imagination fly to infinity with your thoughts and voice.

For Day 15 the Prompt given to us was to write a poem about a historical event with a different outcome. Here is my take.

Prompt 15: Musings of Old World vs New World

What if Einstein had not continued in his experiments to give us electricity?
Perhaps we would have been using flint for fire
And never seen the seeds of digital world being sown.
There would be no modern drainage and bathroom facilities.
Preserving of food is impossible and perhaps would lead to wastage?
Will it be living the life of a paleolithic man?
Or will we be in Elizabethan era with candles and lamps?
One may never know since Einstein was successful.
