Two Sylvias Press Advent Calendar challenge: Day 22

For all the poems in this Two Sylvias Press Advent Calendar challenge for 2023, visit my musings here.

Prologue: This is a 31 day event that helps poets and authors all over to pen down 31 new poems in the month of December (2023). Every day we can open the calendar for that day to read about the prompt for that day. Then let your imagination fly to infinity with your thoughts and voice.

For Day 22 the Prompt given to us was to write a poem using created words by you – such as making a new word using two other words such as cleaveheart; cloudmissing. However, I went on a different route. Because of the confusion I always have with my left and right brains, sometimes I combine Telugu (= Indian Language) and English words to make my own new words. Or sometimes I swap the words for one with the other. Perhaps this will still count for today’s prompt. 😛

Prompt 22: Danchufy and Marchufy Make Fun New Words

This is a really quick writeup due to short of time.

When one has left brain confusing with right brain like me
There are bound be words spouting from one’s mouth
Such as Danchufy, a combo of English and Telugu words
Meaning To Pound. Or what is even better than to utter
Marchufy, another combo meaning To Change.

What’s more funny is that I use the word Washing Machine
to wash dishes and Dishwasher to wash clothes.
That is not a new word but still it is close, isn’t it!
But the icing on the cake is “lower the volume of the flame
Of the stove”. Is there another word that will define
The reducing of flame? I wonder.

Note: Telugu is an Indian Language for the Indian states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
