Prologue: I am always amazed at imagination that artists use various colors to bring to life on a wall. And so also what they create with any kind of metal. These are some of those murals, sculptures and any kind of amazing artwork that I came across in my travels and adventures.
One of the beautiful artistry you get to see in the Darbar Hall of Osmania University College for Women in Hyderabad, India is the ceiling. It is made of painted paper-mache panels using a 19th century technique that was popular in England and Europe. Several sheets of paper are glued onto the moulds, and once they dry they are released from the mould and painted. Individually framed in gilded beading, the panels are a collection of geometric patterns and local motifs.
