Diaries: Death Valley – Day 2 (Ubehebe Crater, Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes)

Prologue: A fun series that documents my travels.

On the second day of our Death Valley trip, we began with a visit to Ubehebe Crater, a 2000 year old largest explosive crater in the area. When we first saw it, a jolt shock went up our spines. It was something not part of this world.

Our next stop was to visit the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, rare dunes that collect at the foot of Tucki Mountain. We didn’t spend a lot of time, but walking on the dunes got me a feeling of putting my feet on a beach.
