Recommendation: Heather takes us on a romantic thrilling adventure involving treasure hunt as well as human emotions such as trust, belief and basic nature of opening one’s heart. Although it was exciting to read I couldn’t get over the fact that it reminded me of another book.
Strangers in Paradise is the 9th Stand-alone novel by Heather Graham Pozzessere originally published in 1988. The story spans multiple generations, that begins in 1863 and concludes in 1988.

Alexi Jordan comes to her family estate in FL to find some peace and much needed safe place. But her nearest neighbor on the island is Rex Morrow who has also been taking care of the home. She also finds she has a stalker unsure of who or why she is being scared out of her family home. Can she trust Rex and once again lose her heart or fight this herself?
The premise of the plot reminds me so distinctly of Nora Roberts / J.D. Robb’s third novella Remember When written almost 3 yrs after Strangers in Paradise was written. So who copied whom? The ending is quite different between both books, but I was constantly reminded of this book while reading Strangers in Paradise.
