For posts on various restaurants that I visited, go here.
Prologue: May 10th is National Small Business Day. One of those are these cute little mom and pop restaurants or locally owned cafes and dive-ins. This series brings forth those little nuggets of places that I visit for my meals.
For lunch the day we attended the Chinese New Year in February this year, we went to Habesha Ethiopian Restaurant. Having never had, it was a pleasant surprise.
Verdictum: Pleasant surprise, close to Indian flavors, yummy food, beautiful décor. A must to visit again.

Here are my 2 cents:
First Impressions:
1) Loved the food as it is so close to Indian flavors and spice level was perfect for me. A little large plates though. 🙂

2) The walls and the surroundings showcase traditional Ethiopian art and culture.

Amelioration:
1. Plates can be a little smaller, but that’s common with many restaurants :).
