Imbolc or St. Brigid’s Holiday is a Celtic holiday that is carried all over the world now. On this day, candles are lighted, blessed (and the everyday tools that one uses in their work too are blessed) and prayers are done for everyone’s health and wealth. It marks the beginning of Spring and one celebrates with a feast of food too. I went to Church of Eternal Light in Bristol, CT to attend the festivities this year. I don’t know what I expected but walked away with peace in my mind.
Church had beautiful décor inside, close to wiccan territory and they had a labyrinth to walk around too. They had four pedestals on each direction and I definitely took pic of Yellow since it is my signature color. Surprised that it represents and Air and East.
