Prologue: Another blog post highlighting all kinds of festivals and events be it Indian or American or anything else. 🙂
We went to a Candlelight Concert in March in New Jersey. It was titled “The Best of Bollywood and Tollywood on Strings”. They bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience in Bollywood and Tollywood songs (in Hindi and Telugu = Indian Speaking Languages). Performed by Highline String Quartet, we were thrilled to hear melodies from each era which brought out our singing voices. They used four musical instruments and brought out the music that might have involved 10 or more instruments in reality. They did ask us not to take videos until the last song, but many didn’t listen to that. 🙂 It was a truly magical experience.
