This is the oldest college art museum in the world founded by artist John Trumbull in 1832. Apart from his donated art work, we see an encyclopedic collection form various civilizations across the world from ancient to modern. We begin with African Art, from North Africa, Egypt, etc: Ngbe Leopard Society Lodge Emblem; Animal Head for a Puppet Masquerade; Canoe for Afterlife; Ogun Helmet Mask; Painting from A.B. Crentsil’s Ahenfo Band Production; Wall Panel from a Boy’s Initiation House; Chief’s Chair; Chief’s Stool; Various Masks; Community Brewing Pot; Marriage Bed Screen; North African Jewelry; Maternity Figure; Wedding Vase; Loin Relief from the Processional Way; Pair Statue of Djehuty-em-hab and Iay.

We also saw my friend doing her poetry recital. She took a painting, “Sunlight in the Cafetaria”, from the display and interpreted in her own way. Here is the video.
