Recommendation: It’s a short story in the series, but Mary Blayney explains it very well and enjoyed it. Perhaps knowing the series helped more towards it.
Her Greatest Treasure is the second novella in The Unquiet anthology book in January of 2011 in which Nora published her novella with four of her recurring authors – Mary Blayney, Patricia Gaffney, Ruth Ryan Langan and Mary Kay McComas. This novella is written by Mary Blayney.
In this less than 100 pages novella, Mary Blayney takes us through the life of a shopkeeper, Lydia Chernov, and her savoir Lord Chase set in the Regency period in 1816. This is the fourth story in Poppy’s Coin series and we are bound to see the coin which turns their lives. Someone tries to find her greatest treasure, and kidnaps Lydia only to be saved by Chase in the process; and her solitude gets more complicated that she expects.

In the end the coin ends in the hands of fisherman, Mr. Arbuthnot, when Mr. Allerton passes by and wishes upon it. The coin in question exists really per the Author’s note but does it have any magic is something one has to find it when they get the coin. The Author’s note also gives a brief history of purple dye and why it is more premium and owned by royals in the past.
There are some open-ended questions from the author in her pervious installments in this series and hopefully will get answered in future books or anthologies. In the opening page, Mary Blaney thanks her four other novelists in this anthology.
