Prologue: This is a 31 day event that helps poets and authors all over to pen down 31 new poems in the month of December (2025). Every day we can open the calendar for that day to read about the prompt for that day. Then let your imagination fly to infinity with your thoughts and voice.
Note: I am starting late so might post my poems more than one a day. π
For Day 3 the Prompt given to us was to write a poem on “what if⦔ but in humorous, surreal and serious way. Here is my take.
What If There Were Only Books To Read.
As Much As I Love Reading Fiction, I Always Wondered
What If There Were Only Books To Read!!
Will The Murders And Killers From Those Books
Come Alive To Haunt Me And People Around?
Man Would Make In Mandatory To Visit A Library.
The Prices On The Books Would Skyrocket
While The Other Things Would Plummet.
Education Would Be Costlier Than Today.
Will The E-Books Get More Leverage Now
That The Books Become More Important?
Or The Paper Books Become Prominent?
I Donβt Know All That, But I Am Content In Reading
Fiction That I Want Now, And Every Day.
