For all the poems in this Two Sylvias Press Advent Calendar challenge, visit my musings here.
Prologue: This is a 31 day event that helps poets and authors all over to pen down 31 new poems in the month of December (2025). Every day we can open the calendar for that day to read about the prompt for that day. Then let your imagination fly to infinity with your thoughts and voice.
Note: I am starting late so might post my poems more than one a day. 🙂
For Day 17 the prompt invites us to become a poetic meteorologist. We should write a poem using forecasting language to describe a situation. More credits if it is in the form of couplet. Here is my take.
Life Destines But Weather Determines…
Saturday The Kids Were All Excited Because
There Was 100% Chance Of Seeing Their Cousins.
Sunday Took Us On A University Tour Among Applause
But The Kids Felt 60% Of Complete Nonsense
Until We Went To See The Boat Parade Outdoors
Which Required 80% Of One’s Patience.
Tuesday Took Us To A Movie That Should Have Left Us In Awes
But Everyone Felt 80% Only Of Jouissance
Wednesday Predicted 100% Showers
Left Us Indoors And Hence
All Look For The Christmas Day.
