Prologue: This is a 31 day event that helps poets and authors all over to pen down 31 new poems in the month of December (2025). Every day we can open the calendar for that day to read about the prompt for that day. Then let your imagination fly to infinity with your thoughts and voice.
Note: I am starting late so might post my poems more than one a day. 🙂
For Day 20 the prompt given to us was to write a poem about things that went unnoticed on a daily basis. Let the images tell the story. Here is my take.
Silent Music Traveling Thru The Day
Waking Up To The Body Clock Even Though My Alarm Sounded
Ignoring The Dripping Faucet Whilst Brushing My Teeth.
Forgotten Clothes On The Floor Now Mounted
While I Dressed In The Attire Designed Like A Sheath.
Forgetting The Silence Of Traffic Lights As I Zip Through.
Going Up The Elevator, Overlooking The Bellhop
Made It To My Desk As The Minutes On My Watch Chew.
Singing Birds On The Terrace Swap And Flop.
Oh The Day Has Gone By Before You Know
And Your Mind Just Wants To Shut Down
Hear Nothing, See Nothing, But Very Slow
Breathing And Your Forehead Does Nothing But Frown.
