Prologue: This is a 31 day event that helps poets and authors all over to pen down 31 new poems in the month of December (2025). Every day we can open the calendar for that day to read about the prompt for that day. Then let your imagination fly to infinity with your thoughts and voice.
Note: I am in 2026, but will continue with the prompts and poems till Dec 31st.
For Day 23 the prompt given to us was to write a poem using map or topographical features to describe the interior landscape of a person. Mention at least four locales in your poem. Here is my take.
Uttering My Name Thru The Desert Of Lips
Have Thought Of You Every Single Day
As We Progress Along In This Pasture Unknown
To Each Other. As The Flowers Sway
To The Gentle Wind, You Were A Gemstone
In This Field, Clearing The Dark To Give Way To Day
Yet You Not Know My Name And Left Me Alone.
One Day Finally You Saw Me Coming
Out Of This Valley Filled With Grass, Water And Soil.
Yelled My Name To My Heart Drumming
For That Was The First Time It Rolled Into You Poel.
Thrilled My Heart That Went Clucking And Clutching.
For It Was Very Very Real
And Not My Mind Imagining.
