Prologue: This is a 31 day event that helps poets and authors all over to pen down 31 new poems in the month of December (2025). Every day we can open the calendar for that day to read about the prompt for that day. Then let your imagination fly to infinity with your thoughts and voice.
Note: I am in 2026, but will continue with the prompts and poems till Dec 31st 2025.
For Day 26 the prompt given to us was to write a poem where one receives the horoscope that is not meant for that person. Let this horoscope be hilarious and disastrously wrong or if one prefers make it as serious as you can take. Here is my take.
Weird Fortune Cookie
The Fortune Cookie That I Broke After Lunch Told
“Your Finances Will Be A Key To Your Financial Future”
Wow..Is This Wherewithal Means Something Gold?
Should I Foster, Support And Nurture?
But, Wait I Am In My Dining Room And
This Means Lots Of Deep Pockets.
Or Will There Be A Grand Stand
In The Hallway While I Reap Profits?
This Is A Total Lie What That Slip Of Paper.
When I Am Practically In Ruins Here
Sitting On The Table Inside My Chamber
And Words On This Small Sheet Are A Blur.
The Riches On This Scroll Keeps On Mocking
It’s Only A Small Piece Of Sheet
With Big Words Splashing And Charming
Me And Making Me Laugh With Some Heat.
