Prologue: This is a 31 day event that helps poets and authors all over to pen down 31 new poems in the month of December (2025). Every day we can open the calendar for that day to read about the prompt for that day. Then let your imagination fly to infinity with your thoughts and voice.
Note: This is the last day for the 2025 Advent Calendar. Finally I finished it.
For Day 31 we have to pick a poem that inspires us. Then write down the last word of each line in the first fourteen lines of that poem. Write a poem using those words, one word each line and can appear anywhere in the line. I like William Wordsworth and picked “I wandered lonely as a cloud”. The words are: Cloud, Hills, Crowd, Daffodils, Trees, Breeze, Shine, Way, Line, Bay, Glance, Dance, They, Glee. Here is my take.
Daffodils And Lilies Sway
Under The Summer Cloud, In A Distant Farm
Over The Hills Beyond, I See Little Plants.
All Bunched Up In A Crowd, All Cozy And Warm,
Flowers Of Daffodils Making Small Chants.
Unaware That The Little Trees Would Face A Storm
And Sway In The Light Breeze Waving Through Their Fronds.
Will The Lightning Shine Them Or Provide Calm?
Oh Can You See The Way To The Ponds
Of Lilies Spreading Like A Line Of Swarm?
Lilies At Bay And The Daffodils On The Hill Prance
Together They Glance, Completely In Uniform
Creating A Waltz Of Their Own Dance.
They Are Separate In Existence But For Their Helioform
Standing Facing With Glee Going Into Trance.
