This is from the 1982 Indian Hindi-language romantic action thriller film Zamaane Ko Dikhana Hai (= Show The World). Music was composed Rahul Dev Burman (aka R. D. Bruman) while the Lyrics were penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri. It was Sung by Shailendra Singh.
It was tuned in Raag Durga, For some reason this song always struck a chord in me whenever it played. Perhaps that is why when it was part of TV’s reality show about new singers I could not stop listening to it again. Padmini Kolhapure, the lead actress in the film, was a guest in that episode this song was sung.
