This song is from the 1988 Indian Telugu-language film Khaidi No. 786 (= Prisoner No. 786). Music was composed by Raj-Koti (a musical duo) to the Lyrics penned by Bhuvanachandra. Sung by S.P. Balasubramaniam and S.Janaki. The film is a remake of the 1986 Indian Tamil-language film Amman Kovil Kizhakale. This film was dedicated to Indian actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor who died a week before the film’s release. The song has been very famous again for its simple steps and numerous reels.
This song was remixed for the 2014 Indian Telugu-language action romantic comedy Subramanyam For Sale. This was sung by Geetha Madhuri and Deepu although music and lyrics stayed same.
