Prologue: I have been meaning to write a series about Holidays and Observances that we (my family and friends) follow in both India (my birth country) and USA (my adopted country). This series is dedicated to those. On a side note, perhaps I might witness some of the celebrations from other countries as well that may get their way into this series. 🙂
Valentine’s Day is for all the lovely couples everywhere. But for those who don’t do V’Day, there are several variations celebrated lately – IT Palentine’s (A Valentine with your Pals and work), Anti-Valentine Break Up Party, and the ever famous Galentine’s.
Galentine’s Day is typically celebrated on February 13th, a day before the Valentine’s Day. It is a gathering of girl friends having fun and food and be in a celebratory mode. I had my annual Galentine’s Party with my girl friends on 10th of February this year. We did a Masquerade Themed one this year.

Thanks to my friends who indulged me in my quirks, it was a blast of a party with scintillating drinks, delicious food (potluck) and mind-testing games.

Some of the decorations I did for the party.

And I gave these DIY Tile trivets that I made using old nail polish to my friends as return gifts.

And here we are, a bunch of quirky women enjoying the party.
