Beauty, Sleeping is the third novella in the Mirror, Mirror anthology book published in September of 2013 by Elaine Fox. J. D. Robb published her novella with two of her recurring authors – Mary Blayney and Mary Kay McComas and two new authors – Elaine Fox and R. C. Ryan. T

The tale involves a girl who grows up imagining her Night Prince as her beau and a ghost who is the owner of the Night Prince and the romance that they form together. It is a surprising twist on Sleeping Beauty by Brothers Grimm in this plot.
It seems to be the theme of this book where J. D. Robb began with her novella in a Grimm’s tale of Hansel and Gretel. In this tale Elaine Fox takes on the Sleeping Beauty story. But the twist is that the guy “sleeps” instead of the girl. Here “sleeps” is equivalent to that guy being a ghost till the girls grows up and become more important to him.
Elaine does include fairies in her tale which are not part of original story and also set in modern times. It confused a little for me, as I was comparing to the original story, but eventually I managed. It is a fun story that made me enjoy it.
