This song is from the 1998 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film Paradesi (= Foreginer). Music was composed by M.M. Keeravani to the Lyrics penned by Veturi. Sung by Sujatha Mohan and M. M. Keeravani.
This was one of the song sung by the singers on the TV’s reality show involving singers for Indian Republic Day. I remember playing this song over and over again in my car CD as well as on my headphones while working back in 2003 / 2004. The film had many talented and new faces in the lead roles. It was a failure but this song became a super hit, and an almost anthem during Republic Day and Independence Day of India.
