This song is from the 1975 Indian Hindi-language political drama film Aandhi (= Storm). Music was composed by R. D. Burman to the Lyrics penned by Gulzar. Sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar. Another one of my fav songs.

The tune of this song was originally created as Durga Puja song, “Jete Jete Potho Holo Deri” in Indian Bengali-language, which Gulzar liked and wrote lyrics around the tune. Sung by R. D. Burman.
