This song is from the 1971 Indian Hindi-language drama film Anand (= Joy). I posted another song from this movie. This is another one. Music composed by Salil Chowdhury to the Lyrics penned by Yogesh. This is film that did not have Kishore Kumar doing playback to Rajesh Khanna. Sung by Mukesh.
One of the nickname for Rajesh Khanna is Babu-moshai and is used in this movie also. But the original name was given by Rishi Kapoor, another lead actor who was called by his father Raj Kapoor that name.
This was done as a female version by Lata Mangeshkar. Not sure if this was used in the movie.
This song was originally composed 20 years earlier as a Bengali song titled ‘Amay Prashna Kore Neel Dhrubatara,’ and was sung by Hemant Kumar.
