Prologue: Two of my favorite things that Mother Nature gives us to feast at are the Sunrise and Sunset. I can never get enough of them. So for 2022, I picked a Sunrise-Sunset themed blog where I will be posting one collaged picture of a Sunrise and a Sunset, one for each month of the year. Hoping that you will enjoy this photo collage of two of my favorite topics as well!
For the month of February, I picked Harbor Park in the town of Middletown, CT for my Sunrise photo. February was a tough month with chilly and windy days mostly clouded all the time or sometimes snowed or freezing rained in. It was really hard to find a day where I could get good sunrise shots braving the cold. I attempted three times to this location and finally resigned myself to accept that this is the best shot I could get. I loved the way the golden rays spread over the waters of Connecticut River.
For Sunset, I picked one of my favorite spots in the town of Ellington, CT. The open farm land that we can see on West Rd gives a perfect view of the sunset. I was lucky enough that day with clear sky and beautiful orange ball of fire sinking below the horizon. It was super chilly and heavy winds filled evening though, so my photo might be a little shaky because of the ice cold winds hitting my hands.
