This song is also from the 1968 Indian Hindi-language film Brahmachari (= Celibate). It was later remade in Indian Tamil-language as Enga Mama (1970) and in Indian Telugu-Language as Devudu Mamayya (1981). The film’s main theme was also an inspiration for the 1987 Indian Hingi-language film Mr. India.
Music was composed by Shankar Jaikishan to the Lyrics penned by Hasrat Jaipuri. Sung by Mohammed Rafi. The choreography of the external dancers is very good. They show the evil guy in black while the good guy in white and blue, and both vying for the girl who is also dressed in white. The girl ends with the good guy in the end. The song speaks to the mood of the song and is according to the choreography too.
