This is from the 1957 Indian Hindi-language mythological film Mayabazar (= Market of Illusions). It was shot both in Indian Tamil and Indian Telugu-languages. t. The story is an adaptation of the folk tale Sasirekha Parinayam, which is based on the characters of the Sanskrit epic Mahabharata.
Music composed by Ghantasla (who is also the singers) to the Lyrics penned by Pingali Nagendrarao. The song was accompanied by the first illusion of moonlight in Indian cinema, shot by cinematographer Marcus Bartley. This song was based on Mohana Ragam. Sung by Ghantasala and P. Susheela. The apt of the Lyricist is that he mentioned the entire movie in this song. The song is the color version of the original movie.
