This song is from the 1970 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film Prem Pujari (= Love Devotee). This also starred the then unknown Amrish Puri who was a major part in villainous roles and supporting role later in the movies.
Music was composed by R. D. Burman to the Lyrics penned by Gopaldas Neeraj. Sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Even though the film is a commercial failure, the songs became a hit and still played today. Thos song is a which was a blend of folk and modern. Also Dev Anand stated that “Rangila Re” remained his all-time Navketan films favourite song.
