Month of June brings us the Full Strawberry Moon, which also marks the second Supermoon for the year 2022. Considerably larger than usually how moon looks for us earthlings, this time it also comes with a special treat – it’s golden/red hued, depending on how your camera lens captures it.
However, the name “Strawberry Moon” comes from the Native American Algonquin tribes from North America, marking the ripening of June-bearing strawberries.
I missed capturing the first Supermoon of the year in May. But managed to get the Strawberry Moon between my lens perfectly. Hope you all got a chance to step out yesterday and see this wonderful globe of soothing light.
