Prologue: A fun series that documents my travels.
Next up on Day 1in the evening we went to see the City Palace of Jaipur in the State of Rajasthan, India. This was one of the most expensive guided tour we took ever, only because we wanted to see the Blue Room. Perhaps this was the best of the trip – The Blue Room aka Chhavi Niwas. Entrance to the Palace is itself very artistic. This is the place the Royals live when they are in town, so we only get to see the sections that are not used often. Pictured are the current Royal Family.
City Palace has lots of sections to see – Chandra Mahal, Chhavi Niwas, Sabha Niwas , Sabha Niwas, Sarvato Bhadra, Pritam Niwas Chowk, Mubarak Mahal and the Clock Tower. We also get to see Sheesh Mahal, Peacock Gate, Rose Gate and Leheriya Gate from the inner courtyard of Chandra Mahal. We will get into each of them in different posts of mine…watch out for them.
